Kindalin West Pennant Hills has 3 rooms for different age groups – Playful Possums, Eager Emus and Wonderful Wombats. The split level centre caters for three age groups. The babies and toddlers, known here as the Playful Possums and Eager Emus, share two large upstairs rooms and a large, shaded outdoor area – taking the hose to the sandpit is a big hit on hotter days! We have large indoor and outdoor spaces with a variety of learning spaces for the children to explore and develop their social skills and independence. The environments encourage the children to build on their friendships and foster positive relationships with all our Educators.
The design of the centre is a split level where the Wombats children, our preschoolers, have an entire room and outdoor area to themselves. The outdoor environment provides plenty of shade, exploring opportunities as well as the opportunity for quiet play. We provide the children with sustainable opportunities, such as growing their own vegetables and herbs in the centre garden. Our exceeding centre has a school readiness program as we watch our Wombats prepare for ‘Big School’, we focus on safe, inclusive and fun ways to explore and engage with the world around us.
